Hi! My name is Krit, and I am fascinated with the endless possibilities of digital media for storytelling and education. In particular, I am fascinated with how the Web is changing how we collect, get, and present information. My goal as a professional is to properly utilize the emerging tools available to us to 1) find meaning in large amounts of unstructured data and 2) communicate those insights with others.
Over the past several years, I have been training primarily in data analytics as a way to extract and organize insights from "big data". From data wrangling and mining all the way to modeling, I have worked through every step of the process. At the same time, I also have had numerous opportunities to communicate these insights through data visualizations, from which I've used as a window into the world of web development.
2013 - 2017
Majored in Math and Physics with a concentration/minor in Statistics. Played a substantial role in the promotion of the use of data in classes as well as in the creation of the Data Science track in the Statistics department, by creating classroom materials, training faculty, and providing feedback on the curriculum from a student's perspective.
2020
Built product front-end with React and Next.js, migrating from the existing tech stack based on Flutter. With previous data experience, advised product manager and backend engineers with data storage and conventions.
2018 - 2020
Onboarded client data into the platform, including restructuring datasets, checking for errors, automating workflows with Python, and continuously monitoring data quality through custom dashboards. Also investigated data issues as they come up, finding solutions or delegating as needed.
2017 - 2018
Helped out teachers in calculus and physics classes with classroom management, curriculum planning, and individual tutoring both inside and outside the classroom. Also acted as a teaching substitute or lab assistant as necessary.
2017
Conducted in-depth market research on more than 2000 global accounts and companies using a variety of industry sources, as well as used internal Salesforce apps to run reports and dashboards to highlight, follow-up, and ensure resolution of account and company status changes.
2017
Designed and created from scratch a fully-functional login portal and landing page for customers using React.js, used RESTful API requests to get and manage application state, and integrated the React framework into the existing PHP backend.

Main responsibilities include providing instructors with classroom materials such as cleaned datasets and interactive visualizations, as well as offering statistical guidance to 3-5 students a week towards research projects from a broad range of disciplines.
2015 - 2016
Created interactive visualizations of two datasets and helped contribute to paper on the uses of interactive visualizations in the classroom and in the modeling of large datasets. Created two interactive visualizations of global terrorism and racially-biased arrests in New York City using Shiny in R and a range of other tools such as Leaflet and ggvis. Worked with 4 other students and contributed code to five other visualizations.
2015 - 2017
